It was so nice She was so nice You were so nice She was so nice So nice So nice You were the best I ever had and that’s a fact, so please remember that It’s complicated now but soon we’ll laugh whenever we look back And contemplate the past- and maybe our anxieties Like what if I was cheating? What if you fell out of love with me? But nowadays we’re good, we’re fine, at least as far as I can see But what if we hooked up and found that true love‘s really meant to be -Well that’s just dumb, some silly little conjecture The answers obvious- don’t go and ask the professor And don’t you dare profess your undying inner affection This romance has no chance, and no further direction Cuz it’s over, it’s done and it’s fine and really I’m just glad Cuz now we’re back to being friends and what more I could ask? It was so nice She was so nice You were so nice She was so nice So nice So nice I’m glad we had something between us that was special, that was nice And I can understand if we had problems- Well that’s just life Like things barely ever go right and too often it gets me down This is gonna sound pretty gay but I’m glad that you stuck around -And you can cringe and die inside, that’s gonna have to happen I’m just happy we held on and our heartbreak wasn’t a bad end Cuz honestly I worried for weeks and months on end About whether we’d stay as friends Or if we would just pretend -That everything was fine, like it would just go away But we expressed we were depressed and I realized we felt the same So I’m glad that we hashed it out- lets play some fucking games I’m ready to kick your ass and forget about our mistakes You’re so damn nice She’s so damn nice She’s so damn nice Man she’s so nice So nice So nice
