Dark Rooms

I used to hear about this lonely man Lived down the road next to my friend They said he was strong and he was kind The type of good soul that was hard find One day things changed and he left his home Too quick to tell just what went wrong An empty house all the good things gone It was dark inside from that day on Seeing that I kept walking tall It only gets harder when the dark room calls Some time later I heard his name Said he’d done something bad and it was a shame Said he was a man on the run For shooting somebody down with a stolen gun Some say he did what needed to be done Some say there’s no way he could’ve been the one But If he goes to the law they’ll kill him dead So he’ll take his chances as a wanted man Now he’s on the road driving fast Eyes straight ahead cause he won’t turn back Blood on his hands and a trail too long Now the only way out is to take the fall The weight of the world and he takes it all It only gets harder when the dark room calls It only gets harder when the dark room calls Can’t give in when the dark room calls
