caden e. berry mama cass and me şarkı sözleri
I had a dream
That Mama Cass was sitting all alone
On the left side of my church
So I sat down and we started rambling on
I showed her Cry Me A River and she said"neat"
I got up and told her about Monet
She said"take a seat"
I asked her how come it's been a while since she made a song
She put her arm around me and said"I've rambled on"
Well, a lady came up
Asked me who the lucky gal was
I almost dropped my cup
I said"Hey now, we're just friends
You keep that in mind, you remember now"
Now Cass needed to roll on
She said"I must get home"
So I drove her to the bus stop
In a big bus of my own
She hopped onto that bus and through the window
She waved at me and said"I must be rambling on"
Now I saw her a second time
In a strip mall across from a summer festival
And she said"Hi"
And we walked all night and got right back to rambling on
I told her every cloud must try sometime to rain and snow
How every flower rained on must try to grow
How every painter painted that she's ever known
But she stopped me and she told me"Sorry, it's a no"
So that's the end
No one ever heard of or saw Cass again
She took that bus
And left us all to think about the times when
She sang a song
And showed us all how wonderful a voice alone could be
But it went wrong
When she hopped onto that bus and rambled on
