In the garden, shadows thread the bloom Petals whisper secrets to the moon Every rose I see, it's a token Of promises and hearts broken This winter wind, it brought me no relief In each blossom tangled is my grief Silent orchids judge from their high shelves Echoing how I see my self Heavy hearts and daffodils they sway Under sun and sorrow's endless rays I can't escape the weight, it never leaves Guilt grows roots with every winter breeze Nightshade blooms beneath the waxing moon In dreams, regrets, a haunting tune Mockingbirds sing songs of what I lack And sunflowers turn their heads, they never look back Through the thorns, I tread on broken ground Flowers bloom, but mercy can't be found Promises made beneath the apple tree Now they chase, can't seem to set me free Garden path leads me where I must roam Among the lilies, wishing they were home Wishing they could fly away Stories etched in gold, but truth's untold And my guilt complex just stays Heavy hearts and daffodils they sway Under sun and sorrow's endless rain I can't escape the weight, it never leaves Guilt grows roots with every winter breeze
