The Cult of Youth

The pool shines diamonds into my eyes I float across all the way to the other side Without a care in my mind The days are getting longer and I've found a way to ponder Where times gone it's all the way out there Along horizons dead long stare and I have found another way to spend all my days The summer is shooting hope into my heart I'm on my back breathing air I can't track Just where I'm at Kicking rocks down the street can't you see we need A better life or someone to be and all I know is We'll keep up with the Jones's Better jobs with better pay but we've got less time in our days I guess we're just floating through all of the commotion They got theirs and I want mine can I get back of all my time or is it Gone it's all the way out there Along horizons long dead stare and I will find another way to spend all my days Hit them right between their eyes Don't let them feed you their new lies They'll break you down to make you feel Like you're somehow not even real
