I was born into a life already determined it's already been known I've to work I've to sleep, then repeat Giving me enough that I'll remain  Just to be a link in their chain The one that's tight around our necks  And shackled to our arms and to our legs  It keeps pulling us through life Every which way (But loose)  Until one day we'll be dead  And then our children It's on their heads  But with my mothers heart, and my daddy's mind A new path I shall find  I won't be who they tell me to be How can I?
