On the road after a quick break There we were back at work London fog and loading docks Back when every show was a first   He came in for what I trusted Was an office friendly hug Both hands clutched down hard on my ass With a paralyzing shove "Oh I've missed these" He whispered with his head   on my shoulder I screamed and tried to push away But He only pulled me closer … Everyone in the room stared Stunned In disbelief But no one said a word No one did a thing And Alone in that fight or flight battlefield My mind shut down Don't be emotional Don't be a drama queen Worst of all don't be the bitch Is what the world kept telling me After another couple weeks Grabs jabs full exposure Being pulled onto his lap I prayed for help I prayed for closure Every time in that mocking tone Can't you take a joke Why Can't we mess around Was I crazy was I wrong When had I begun to drown Was the whole goddamn world That terrified to rock the boat Were my childhood hopes and dream career   All wrapped around my throat I stood still kept my mouth shut Knowing all too well the ice was thin Afraid if I came forward I may never work in this town again Don't be emotional Don't be a drama queen Worst of all don't be the bitch Is what the world kept telling me Ultimately It was left up to me "We'll fire him if you want us to" Was the final decree But alone in the fight or flight battlefield All I could hear Was the deafening silence Pounding in my ear Don't be emotional Don't be the drama queen Don't be a drag don't be the bitch Is what the world kept telling me I finally understand How and why it comes so late If someone else can hear this Carries this unbearable weight You're not alone on the battlefield No you're not alone in the battlefield No I will not be a victim Vigilante or assassin But I will no longer be silenced And live as if it never happened
