Has anybody seen Jane? They say she hasn't been the same Hardened by life behind bars in her brain Confined in her solitude, alone with her shame Has anybody seen Jane? Are you sure that's really still her name? Unkempt and unbroken She cannot be tamed This town has always looked the same, the buildings almost smell the same And all the people smile the same, and it's no different without Jane Has anybody seen Jane? Tell her that I miss her, is she doing okay? Was it something I said, am I to blame? And could she forgive me if I caused her pain? Has anybody seen Jane? Her voice cracks like thunder, her hair fell like rain Now all we have left is this picture frame I look in her eyes, and her smile is fake This town has always looked the same, the buildings almost smell the same And all the people smile the same, and it's no different without Jane And when I close my eyes before I sleep I hear her voice crack like piano keys A note that can't help faltering Is anybody out there listening?
