I escaped from the house to some white sand But a better man might go finding the strength to delay cll in a day's work anyway Couldn't waste time with the featherweights Everything left in a ball in the middle of what I had hidden in Subtle glow from the filament I've been reeling my feelings in Mad, tired, post-complacent, indifferent Nothing is home, everything got in the way They found me lost in the midst of some thoughts that I had yesterday Everything's good if you choose to look astray “Maybe” never really settles But you say as if you've been certain of it all the way You carried on with the rigamarole while I washed it away Watch as the shore breaks
