Coulda gone another way Coulda walked a different path I could chose to play it safe And studied science or math But I chose to follow my heart And let my passion guide me Got no regrets, I've got my part This is who I wanna be But greener grasses tend to taunt And linger just out of reach Made up my mind about what I want So why'd I turn to look and see I knew what I was signing up for When I scrawled the dotted line The fancy cars and global tours Are just a myth, a fib, a lie Sometimes I wonder Did I do it right? Did I pick correctly With how to spend my life Is it too late To go a different way What'll make me happy At the end of the day I'm doing all of the hard work I'm working night and day Ten thousand hours tend to hurt But I've been slaving away I wanna give myself my best shot A leg up on all the rest You get the job once you've fought And proven that you're the best But who's to say that I've got What the rest of them all don't In this sea of other hotshots Can I keep myself afloat What if ten years down the road I am filled with regret A naive child's fleeting hope I'd wish had long been put to bed Sometimes I wonder If I got it right Did I pick correctly With how to spend my life Is it too late To go a different way What'll make me happy At the end of the day If I'd gone the safer route I never would've known If this bright little ember Into a flame would grow I would live my life Wondering what I could've had A failure means I tried my best And I can live with that Sometimes I wonder Did I do it right?
