I Wish I had a Dragon I wish I had a dragon He could take me everywhere I would jump right up onto his back And we would soar into the air And if I had a dragon We could be so wild and free All the places that we would explore My dragon and me With shining scales of silver And eyes of deepest gold Looking so magnificent So fearless and so brave and bold He'd cast a mighty shadow And be master of the sky And the very best thing about it all Is I would get to fly Far across the universe up and away we'd go Travelling through time and space Until we reached a world of long ago I'd only have to whistle and he'd take me for a ride We would swoop down onto castles, and we would always go inside Where knights in shining armour Rescued damsels in distress My fire-breathing dragon Would be certain to impress Far across the universe up and away we'd go Travelling through time and space Until we reached a world of long ago With a dragon, as my friend He'd be always by my side With everyone admiring him It would fill my heart with so much pride In a corner of my bedroom He would make himself at home With a dragon there, for company I would never feel alone.
