Come down the silver pathway that threads between the trees Long are the shadows in the bright green grass Where the white wood anemones lilt upon the breeze And the cool dew falls upon our feet as we pass. Come down beside the river and wonder at the mist Cloaking the tracery of fern and flower. Come by the stumbling paths that twist Through the bracken deep ruins of Cromwell's Tower. For all of the mysteries of time and of season Are plain to the view in delights such as these And seek you understanding that transcends all reason?
