Now that I lay me down to sleep, reflecting on the people that I’ve lost and that I keep, I’m reminded of what seems like never-ending disappointments, hit with unrelenting noises, hearing cold, chaotic voices That would haunt me in my dreams and manifest when I’m awake. What the f*ck is real? What the f*ck is fake? Wake up. New day. Same ol’ shit. Lead me along a lonely path that only I could take. Honestly thought that I was doomed liked Sisyphus, forever gloom. But still held out a glint of hope. Shake my world on its side, take me for another ride. I look into your eyes, my whole world it comes alive. My heart is filled with yours. And I want you for evermore. I’ve been put down for so long. Couldn’t recognize when I’m feeling wrong. Wouldn’t know sincerity if it hit me on my head. Wouldn’t bother me a bit if they left me there for dead. Any time I fell I picked my pieces up. If it didn’t stop me then it was just a cut. If this is really life then life is really fucked up. But every soul has a mate, I could feel it in my gut. What I didn’t know was my life was about to take a turn. But whenever you make gains you gotta feel the burn. Maybe life is filled with lessons or I never would have learned. Turned me into something beautiful. Happiness I earned I look into your eyes, and my whole world it comes alive.
