Goin' Huntin'

I've been planning this for some time Got all my ducks in a line It's been a long week and I had enough So I pick up the phone and I fake a cough I tell my boss that I been sick And I ain't sleep a lick So he tells me to just stay home I hang up and I'm ready to go My guns already clean My deer blinds up in the tree There ain't nobody out here Just that ten-point buck and me This working week can't get me blue Ain't nobody telling me what to do Ain't nobody got me a-running Yeah my boss sucks, but I'm going hunting Well I head home empty-handed Feelin' a little sad But then I remember something I heard from my dad He said son when you grow up And you have a job You'll realize a bad day of hunting Is better than the best day in the shop My guns already clean My deer blinds up in the tree There ain't nobody out here Just that ten-point buck and me This working week can't get me blue Ain't nobody telling me what to do Ain't nobody got me a-running Yeah my boss sucks, but I'm goin' hunting So I stop to fill up the tank And I head in the station Who do I see there but my boss Taking a little vacation He sees me and I see him And he gives me a little nod I get in my truck and head on home On Monday I'll be back at the job My guns already clean My deer blinds up in the tree There ain't nobody out here Just that ten-point buck and me This working week can't get me blue Ain't nobody telling me what to do Ain't nobody got me a-running Yeah my boss sucks, but I'm goin' hunting
