Still Life

When I got up I thought today's the day But then it weren't now it's just yesterday When it's time for bed I do not sleep I can't taste a thing but you still have to eat I cried all the color from my eyes can't you see into me now There is no sacred thing not that I have found Everybody gets tired they can't just stick around I love to see your face but I know what that means And when you are here soon you'll have to leave I cried all the color from my eyes can't you see into me now You left the door open wide and I saw just outside and it Just don't seem right I am stuck here inside a still life But I want you to know about everything 'Cause I can feel it all I am remembering And I can't say it right but I can see This is not enough and it never will be I cried all the color from my eyes can't you see into me now So I want to let it go I want to set you free I wish to be whole as only the past can be A still life but I'm still alive
