The Haunt

Floating by somber faces Hiding inside all those hard to reach places All the actions skin and bones wouldn't let me do I would perform now if only I knew At first I thought I had not changed at all, but now I can't eat and I can pass through walls No one can see me and I cannot make a sound I have eternity to wander around What a phenomenal time to not be alive The earth is open for me to see all there is to see But the loneliness makes me want to revive If only I had a ghoul friend to keep me company Not long after all the travel became dull I turned to haunting to make afterlife whole Those somber faces filled with fear Became a drug I held incredibly dear Ghost life has its ups and downs I'm scarier than spiders, but not as bad as vampires or clowns I can make a grown man become terrified But in truth it's just to cope with the fact that I died I miss my legs and I miss my arms My sheetlike body isn't really worth a darn I gave up haunting just to float Immortality is oddly bespoke
