LITTLE BIRDS

called it a night while the sun set watched the light drain out of the wall little birds in the dark filling the sound i wanna know what itʼs like to be so sure to feel so right ending it all but i donʼt let it cross my mind that much anymore look at me, all “alive” and everything all for spite but all the same letting all the wrong notes ring while the right ones fade away started a fight when i came downstairs out looking for blood so sick of the quiet, just mad at myself because iʼm trying to make it about me now like iʼve always done i wish i could write anything else than just me, all in love again and again i guess some things just donʼt change i wish you two could meet i wish an awful lot these days someone painted your name on the brick of h & j i still go out of my way just to see it
