an unfortunate reality (senior year)

Everybody wants to screw the lead singer of a band He screams so fucking loud that you'll never understand I guess you got your wish, I just wish I had got mine too Instead I had a bunch of reasons not to talk to you And I'm handling this so well For someone who was wrong I guess it is my only right And I'm thinking of the people That are taking every place That you never ever took in my whole life And you wanted a body with more purpose than your own A well known piece of property for you to call your home And all your friends are jealous cause he stands front center stage He's not even your normal type, well he's too close to your age And you were shocked that I felt things Such as sadness or regret You never thought that when we met And you slept with a comedian On the days that we made plans I'd say that's pretty funny, man And so here's to being worried at every single show And here's to being pissed off and I couldn't let you know And here's to all your friends that are faker than your lashes And here's to your douche bag brother who doesn't know what being nice is And here's to every fight that we had every single week And here's to every time I was too afraid to speak If I could say something to my younger self I'd say "just pack up your shit after the second show you played in Lancaster"
