I know someday When I'm old and gray My memories will fade away But no matter how old I get I know I could never forget Our first kiss or how we met Some things just can't be erased Like the night when you took me out for burgers and beers It was the first time I'd felt the butterflies in years And the times we stayed in to watch the World Series Or just watched the news and it's conspiracy theories Nights curled up by the fireplace Those memories can't be replaced Even when I've forgotten your name and face And everything else I try to think of My heart will always remember our love I won't forget The shade of blue in your eyes Or the taste of your lips You know I've got them memorized Our first day off together When we drank and played pool It felt like we were two kids skipping school Getting coffee downtown to watch the midnight show High on caffeine and seratonin I still fell asleep though And the time we saw Brandon playing base Running in the rain til we could find a place To eat Those memories can't be beat When I've forgotten everything I try thinking of My hands will remember your touch And my heart will remember our love
