My Little Sister

Sasha grew up in a small house In a small town surrounded by small people She did her best to fit in Did things that weren't legal She had big dreams but her schemes Made others dismiss her She felt all alone though at home She had two parents four brothers And she shared a room with her sister I remember feeling so safe inside those four pink walls But I hated sharing my room It felt way too small I was desperate to have to have my own space Couldn't wait to get out of that place Now I'd give anything for us to be closer Be those two little girls and start over Now that we're older I miss the days we were happy and free In that room my little sister and me Staying up late young and sleepless Sharing a room and all our secrets I didn't know then just how much I'd miss her We both grew up but she'll always be my little sister She's a fire sign a typical Aries Burdened by all the weight that she carries Driven ambitious and optimistic Her feet may be fast but her temper is quicker Her name sounds like she's a Russian spy But she can't keep a secret to save her life Except all the times that she quietly cries I wish I was there now to dry her eyes Staying up late young and sleepless Sharing a room and all our secrets I didn't know then just how much I'd miss her We both grew up but she'll always be my little sister Sasha still lives in a small house in a small town With small people and small minds Now she looks for the good in everything that she finds She has some friends but believes Blood is thicker than water Something that she's passing down to her son and her daughters She still has big dreams and believes With hard work they'll come true I'm so proud of my sister Sasha I really miss you
