Tale of the Frog

I found a frog in the swamp today kinda like him so I’ll give him a name My friends say I should throw him away But I think that they’re wrong I’ll build him a house, I’ll fill it up with water At night, it gets cold in the sun it gets hotter He could make a mess and it wouldn’t even matter This house would be his home We’d go swimming we’d fish together We’d sit in the sand in any weather A life like this it doesn’t get better Staying out late singing in the choir Someday we’d be out catching flies He’d look up at me and he’d smile Whisper in my ear you might think I’m lying A kiss would make him a prince We’d get married and we’d be happy Ever after a true love story Cause I am his and he is my boy Fairy tales they just take time But this isn’t Neverland and that didn’t happen I dreamt it up on the grass when I was napping My friends were right, I should have thrown him back It looks like I was wrong Cause I built him a house I filled it up with water At night it got cold in the sun it got hotter He made a mess it didn’t seem to matter The house was not his home
