Don't let go Don't try to escape I know you've been hurt so many times It feels like your life is a mistake What you believed is what you were raised with They taught you Jesus loves you, this you knew Then acted on their hatred I know how you feel deep inside Cause I've been there before a thousand times You have to make your faith your own And trust in God alone There's mercy in your greatest failures Cause they don't know your heart But God knew you from the start And He loves you more than you could ever know So don't let go It's hard to go through life on your own I'm sorry the church doesn't feel like home It might not seem like they're broken too But really they are just like you I have learned it's important to listen So let's take the time to hear what's on your heart and mind You can make your faith your own You are not alone You're safe to feel the pain you're feeling We've all been there before But God knows what's in store And He loves you more than You could ever know So don't let go We all fall short of expectations And don't know how we'll get through If grace is not extended And truth's on the offensive Then how will God's love shine through We have to remember That we're all the same At the foot of the cross You have to make your faith your own You won't do this on your own There's forgiveness in your greatest failures They might not know your heart But God knows where to start And He loves you more than you could ever know So keep believing And don't let go
