Eyes half shut Trudging through another night Their pay slips cut Making just enough to eat Look at the bags beneath their eyes Look at the sad little tortured smiles Always trying to justify why they work so late And they slowly drag their feet behind Always looking toward quitting time And they grumble so inaudibly As they congregate again Stupid hat Forced to wear, they need to go home Feed the cat She's looking quite emaciated Look at the messes in their houses Most of them have left their spouses Always trying to delay their chores to later days Now they crawl in bed at 4 AM Never waking up again Their breathing stops Their souls leave them And drift away At dawn they rise once again Open their eyes once again Arms stretched out they leave their rooms Forgetting to lock their doors They fill the streets People screaming when they see them Now they feast On the warm flesh of the living Look how much the horde has grown Listen to their horrid moans Never gonna work again As they congregate again Their broken souls and broken bones Rampaging suburban homes They smashed the lights and cut the phones They'll never work again
