And my house of cards Folds in on itself? I remember It’s a losing game, Whatever your hand. You’re all in, You just don’t know it yet. Sometimes you'll win, But when you don’t don’t forget: This life’s a losing game, So make the best of it. I felt the drag of the river Pulling at my soaking knees Hoping luck delivers I see that ship sale from the edge of my seat I wait with empty hands, Stranded panning for a glimmer Then I understand, Dark waters still can show a shimmer When you know that It’s a losing game, Whatever your hand.
