I can't believe my wife would leave me for the lawn boy The guy just lives next-door Lawn boy do your work and keep it in your pants You know I went out and bought one of them three-blade mowers It really cuts the grass good You know what I'm talkin' 'bout I can't believe my wife would leave me for the lawn the way The guy just lives next-door Yeah now I only gotta cut the grass one time Because with them three blades it really cuts the grass good You know what I'm talkin' 'bout I can't believe my wife would leave me for the lawn the way The guy just lives next-door My wife left me for the lawn boy I can't figure it out Was it the smell of fresh-cut grass that lured her? Or was it perhaps the smell of gasoline and oil? I can't figure it out Was it the combination of cheap beer and fresh cigarette tobacco? Was it something I did? Was it something I didn't do? Why couldn't she have run off with our doctor or accountant? Why did it have to be the lawn boy? She told me everything was OK She told me we would be together always and should just go play golf And hire someone else to cut the grass The guy next door cuts grass She said it would be nice to have a lawn boy in the neighborhood close by So he could always be there to cut the grass I can't believe my wife left me for the lawn the boy The guy just lives next-door
