Scorn the Throne

Under it's spell The candle flame Gleams across my eyes As shadows dance Along the walls I remain unblinking Deep under trance And deeper still Time comes to an end I understand The arcane truth That I have never been I am the void My apathy Has made me naught Angels would have cut their wings And thrown them to the sea Shattered their exalted thrones Just to sit beside of me And yet I am alone Free to writhe beneath my sorrow I'm lost, and there's no sign of light Memories, profound despair Are in the air I breathe tonight I'm drowning beneath the violent waves My lungs have gorged, and now are filled With the abyss that seeps into me now I'm drowning I am Naught, I am the void Everything I was is destroyed I am Naught, I am the void Everything I was is destroyed Angels would have cut their wings And thrown them to the sea Shattered their exalted thrones Just to sit beside of me Shouting words of blasphemy Odium and spite.
