The Tale of the Landlord

When I walk into my house I see footprints on my couch I see dishes on the floor And my heads already sore He makes my life miserable Tells me I'm responsible For the damage that he's done This is his idea of fun He barges in without notice Using abusive language and he tries To convince me that I need him desperately I'm so tired, I've had enough Now I'm calling out his bluff He charges me for made up things Has no curtesy to ring I'm done with you landlord I'm calling the authorities on you That's what I'm about to do I'm sick of our discord I'm in need of management that's new That's new My new landlord is Jesus Christ He covered all the fees and price How come I didn't realize He's more experienced and wise So I surrender and repent And I thank my Lord God he sent His only son to die for me So I could share his victory I'm done with you old landlord You knock, complain, try to get through But I don't report to you Dismissed and ignored I'm under new management it's true Take that up with him too Holy Spirit Lord, I turn from my old ways I lift up your name in praise Holy Spirit You are good in every way I will thank you every day
