It's another Sunday another service And my sins are ever before me again My mind feels still far away again My thought is at war with my worship So on my knees I speak to his lordship I feel unworthy my thoughts in jeopardy So on my knees I light this candle not as a riddle So can my tears maybe make me right with you again Can I bring it as some some form, some sort of bargain A bargain cos I know this past week could have been some better choice So this Sunday my service has to be a little righteous See God I'm sorry This past week I sinned again I followed a man to his grave Is sexual sin unforgivable too grave Too many sins, lost count I lost control Anger also took me on a chokehold So I lost control Like that the flesh has always been in control Ashamed I feel astray A little too unrighteousness again And guilt is all I can feel again My tears as a bargain 'cuz this week I have no good work to boast Devil at work 'cuz we kinda made a toast Just like that the devil succeeded and Pushed me back Twice again It's another Sunday And my service feels just so right again But now there's so much more to gain Sin and guilt can hold its pain I feel so right again It was never about my work Christ has always been at work Coz it's not by power nor by might But by my spirit says the Lord So in this truth I feel free So like water I flow Drips of joy for more than four No more bargain Now in him there's so much to gain See it was never our work that made us righteous T'was his grace that made us righteous And God let this all this, this all be all yours And now righteous even in our works and actions And in this journey we continue to be So So truly truly yours.
