THE CRY (STORY)

Am I safe? Am I secure? Oh, will I get the chance to meet this world? I wake up and listen to what's going on Mom just woke up, guess we're moving along Out of the bed to go to a new Doctors Office I'm not too worried, I'm calm She's brushing her teeth and fixing her hair She makes her bed neat, then gets some fresh air With nothing to eat, she heads down the stairs And runs down the street for the bus, now it's here We get on the bus as I bob up and down I barely see light but I listen for sound I feel the vibration come up from the ground Through mom into me, these buses are loud! I can't wait to see and hug Mum! I don't know how many days until my time comes But I know it'll be great embracing I love being with her every day, her baby, her… I hear your heart beating, Mom, are you there? I wish I could talk, I know Dad isn't here I wish I could meet him, I wish I could see him But you said he left, now it's just you and fear You're lonely and scared, but Mommy I'm here And soon I'll be with you, I love you I hear you talk to your friends and you talk to your family Recently I heard you that you have a clear decision to make In regards to your body, the girl that you talked to said that you should probably Get an abortion because you're in poverty I don't know what all that means, but I'm honestly here with you Mom I'll hug you to bits! She walks through a door and talks at a desk The lady tells Mommy go to the left Into the room down the hallway and then Soon the Abortion is gonna commence We enter the room and she lays on the bed We wait and we wait till the Doctor comes in I hear lots of noise, then the man says, It's only a fetus and this'll be quick Wait… Last week the doctor said I am a fetus! What's going on, Mom? Tell me that I'll be ok! Tell me that I'll be safe, that I'll be in your arms! Hey what's going on Mom? I can feel your anxiety! Something's cold, I feel it pinch the side of me! I try to fight it off! I'm kicking violently! I fight for life but Mom I might be dying, please! Help me! Help me! Help me please, Mom! Something's not ok! I feel afraid! Just tell me Am I safe? And Am I secure? Oh, and will I get the chance to meet this world? And am I loved? Will I get a hug from my Mom when I'm born?
