And if you dive deep into that chatter The message that comes at ya, Is that “blue lives don’t matter.” And then on TV you’ll see Some angry interviewee Inciting brutality Against cops universally It’s sheer insanity! What there really needs to be Are people talkin’ civilly, If it’s ever gonna.... STOP! Before anyone crosses that line And commits the ultimate crime They need to understand the reality Of eliminating a human being Who, in some future emergency, Or situation of urgency, Page 2 of 4 Could have had their back, or that, of their family. And there are so many other reasons not To ever mess with a cop! The main consequence for you Is the Police I-O-U; They’ll never let you get away You’re either caught or D-O-A. Now, what about those people who Wake-up every day and put on a uniform to keep the streets safe for you? And now, no longer can pursue All they ever hoped to do. Attack a cop? You’re no hero. In fact, you couldn’t be a bigger zero. So, if you persist in being “at bat,” What you need to know is that, It’s a better idea NOT To execute a plan That will only get you slammed It’s time to get with the program and just...STOP! Page 3 of 4 You’ve heard it said, and it’s true: Cops deserve gratitude For the thankless, 24/7 job they do. But they need help from good folks, too. And should you become aware of people who, Are so filled with hate that they perpetrate An attack on a cop; Do everything safely that you can To foil the bad guys’ plan, ‘cause, Where they really need to be Is in police custody, If they’re a danger to them, they’re a danger to me; ‘Cause if you elect to disrespect The law, you can’t be ignored you gotta be floored So, play by the rules use legal tools, to work for the cause of Peace, not wars. Get respect for what you say, And the inspirational way, You work every day to make it STOP!
