In a state of apathy like a parasite I'm feeding on everybody's empathy This has to be just another fever dream I can't stand the way the looking glass is looking at me My shadow needs a stable host A beating heart to guide and trust I know I'm not by myself And I threw the curtains over my eyes like there was only the never ending dark A desert to wander Why the light of the sun does not caress my face? I miss the light in the haze Ablaze so cold and still The air got too oppressive to inhale Now the oxygen mask I have to wear is wearing out the keys from the major scale of my mind I will not fall I will keep searching for the light in the dark I feel so hopeless trying but I'll keep searching for the light in the dark Why the light of the sun does not caress my face?
