The Law

Am I poor in spirit? Do I mourn for the lost? Am I meek and gentle? Do I thirst for righteousness? Am I merciful and forgiving? Am I pure in heart? Am I a peacemaker who's willing To be torn apart? When will I see the kingdom of heaven? When will I be filled? Jesus, it's so hard to obey and to walk in Your way Jesus, You're the vine and I'm the branch Will you help me understand? Am I patient? Lord, search me Am I kind? Lord, teach me Do I envy? I'm sorry Am I filled up with pride Am I rude? Forgive me Am I selfish? Lord, cleanse me Am I angry O, mercy And filled with bitterness? When will I know perfection in love? When will I see it clearly? Jesus, it's so hard to obey and to walk in Your way Jesus, You're the vine and I'm the branch Will you help me understand? O, high or low I will go there with You I will go with You I shall have no other gods I shall make no idol thing I'll not take Your name in vain I will keep the Sabbath clean I will honor my family I'll not hate or lust or lie I'll not covet or steal the things The things that are not mine Your perfect Law, it fills me with light Your Word is my delight Jesus, it's so hard to obey and to walk in Your way Jesus, You're the vine and I'm the branch Will you help me understand?
