I didn't get why bad things happen to good people I couldn't understand why struggle was necessary for growth I could wrap my mind around the fact that someone who claims they love you Could do the very thing that they promised you they wouldn't do I didn't understand that pain was my friend That people leaving me was a blessing That this hurt would become joy And that heartbreak was a gift It wasn't until I experienced true pain, that I developed self love And loving myself, was the best thing to ever happen to me I used to cry wolf Now I'm leading the pack I used to howl because it hurt And now, I Howl Until It Hurts
