I keep trying to be somebody not myself i don't know where my mind has gone but it must be somewhere else It feels like each step I take still leaves me two behind Has it really gone that far away or has pride just left me blind I'm always searching but what do I need maybe now I'm learning it's just a dream in which to believe I'm still moving forward we're not defined by where we've been They may have shut the door behind them but I can still find my way in To a room that's hidden away where you will open your mind and dream I keep trying to find some place that's not my home I may be welcome in this house but it's surely not my own And I keep trying to avoid knocking on the door but it's not a case of who's there first it's just who wants it more I'm always searching but what do I need maybe now I'm learning it's just a dream in which to believe I'm still moving forward we're not defined by where we've been They may have shut the door behind them but I can still find my way in To a room that's hidden away where you will open your mind and dream
