I’ve got more lives I am glowing ember Now I’m on fire Now I’m frozen timber Leaving Texas for the city Driving north of Mason Dixie Unbeknownst to me so many Births and deaths could come so quickly That Saturn found me out It seems it had my number Pulled my rug of plans right out Took my dreams and flipped them over I’ve got more lives I am glowing ember Now I’m on fire Now I’m frozen timber I’d painted up a picture that I wanted Picked the people, picked the place and put it on a canvas then set out running - jumped inside that portrait of my life then Stuck the landing and I looked around on my composition many things had gone wrong This wasn’t what I’d wanted This was not my vision for my life and So I had to pull the plug on what now was A deadhead pulled it out uncovered Buds to blossom out from under Birth and death they are the same They’re just passing through to other phases I gotta be one with changes I’ve got more lives I am glowing ember Now I’m on fire Now I’m frozen timber I’ve got more lives I am glowing ember Now I’m on fire Now I’m frozen timber
