Colorful Ways to Die

Let me tell you of a party bold Who thought five dragons' hoards they'd hold Their greed outweighed their common sense Their tale was brief, but quite intense! Red was the first one to join in their fray Their fighter stood proud (for a moment, they say) His armor glowed bright like a warm summer's day Then melted quite nicely, along with his face! Oh, the colors of death came to play that day! Five chromatic dragons just passing their way! Each brought their own special style to display In making sure none of them lived through the day! Blue struck like lightning, so quick and so bright Their wizard's last words were"This really might bite!" His spell fizzled out with a pitiful sight As electricity danced through his robes in delight! Green swooped down next with poisonous breath Their rogue tried to dodge but ran out of steps The acid cloud caught him, dissolved what was left A puddle of leather marks where he met death! Black's acid splashed on their cleric divine Who raised up his symbol, all sparkly and fine His prayer was cut short, along with his spine As acid ate through him, one layer at a time! White came last, with frost in her wake Found their bard hiding (his final mistake!) Froze him solid, a beautiful sight A statue to warn of the dragons' might! So raise up your mugs to the colors so bright Red, Blue, Green, Black, and White! They painted that party with such style and might And left me this tale for tonight!
