On My Own

When I was 18 I fell in love It was the first time I love someone like this I thought that he'd be the one I thought he'd be the one to love me right But I should of known better Then to think he was the one Cause I was just naive I didn't know better To see that he'd cheat on me I should have known better But I was still in disbelief But I just wish you would of stayed Cause all I wanted was to see the world with you See everything we could have been To find love in what we used to be All I wanted was to be with you With you But with you gone it's just me on my own A couple years have gone by now and I still have you on my mind All the feelings have all gone now but I still think back at our good times But I gotta find who I am and see what I can do on my own Experiencing what there is out there Taking it for my own But I should of known better Then to think he was the one Cause I was just naive I didn't know better To see that he'd cheat on me I should have known better But I was still in disbelief But I just wish you would of stayed Cause all I wanted was to see the world with you See everything we could have been To find love in what we used to be All I wanted was to be with you With you But with you gone it's just me on my own Cause I used to wish you would of stayed I couldn't let it go so I took it on to find my own grace But instead I found the love in me
