Lonely Hearts

I walk through a crowd faces blur like the rain Searching for a voice to ease this pain So many lights yet my world's so dim A silent room though I'm surrounded by them The city hums but it drowns my plea So many souls yet no one sees me I reach out but the echoes fade In this maze of hearts I've lost my way Why are we all so lonely in a world so full? With endless chances why does no one pull? So many choices yet we drift apart The more we have the less we start I see your shadow but you turn away Words unspoken build the walls we stay I crave connection but I fear the cost In the sea of plenty I feel more lost I hear your whispers through the static noise But I'm paralyzed by too many toys A fleeting glance a shallow grin No one stays long enough to begin Why are we all so lonely in a world so full? With endless chances why does no one pull? So many choices yet we drift apart The more we have the less we start If I reached for you would you stay? If I opened my heart would you run away? Could we trade our fears for something real? Could we mend the scars we're afraid to feel? We're lonely voices in a crowded sky Trying to find where the answers lie So close yet we can't collide In a world of plenty we're still denied Lonely hearts beating side by side
