You don't have to say "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" I know you feel that way And I'm sorry, for you You don't have to say "Hey" We'll always have our heyday Before things changed When the sky was California blue When a thousand lotus flowers bloomed But everything must move I'd have given you my all in a hurry Been your hubby But you wanted to write another story You do you But don't expect me to stay the same I'm on a different plane Yeah things change The sky has turned from blue to grey I'm a swimmer lost out in the waves But the tide will turn today So I'm drawn back to Eastleigh A smalltown dreamer is something to be When the Western sky seems grey The East, heavenly Yeah things change The sky will turn from grey to blue (Plant some seeds in the ground) Just wait you'll see the flowers bloom (Give it time you'll be found) The waves will churn, out in the sea (Listen for the sound) The leaves will turn from brown to green (Of hope being found) There's no slate to be wiped clean So don't feel at all sorry, don't worry Yeah my hometown's small But I'll find glory From here And this time I won't feel ashamed To say I'm not sorry for what I've made Yeah I have changed The oak from the acorn grew (The wildest river was a raindrop too) The lotus flower was once a seed (The apple growing on Newton's tree) The smallest town becomes the capital (The capital loses it all) This place was once a footprint (Of one who walked out) I know this song started in a minor key It began when I came back to Eastleigh But I spent this year dreaming up this LP It's bringing back some happy memories Like my birthday Nando's when I was fifteen Adam got candles lit on my chicken (Woo woo) A decade later I'm back on the scene (A little bit older got a Master's degree) But I'm still that young master Playing Pokémon Green So we took our iPhones out and shot some scenes (Tahh tahh) Put them on YouTube and Ben's 'bookie Next thing you know I'm on the BBC London's calling but I ain't ready Things change, if you know what I mean Things change So let's blur the lines Between our lives and our dreams Between the future and the air that we breathe
