On the Run

Unaware Standing here I drift from hill to hill (Not knowing what I've found) I look behind In my mind At what's left on the ground Now I'm unsure if it ever changed I'm left here wondering if anything was there Sometimes you don't know Things don't always rest easily in the scope of it all It only makes sense That I'm back where I began Have my misspoken words made too deep a divide here Recalling that I've made too many mistakes now Back and forth, back and forth I'm dwelling on little things Deplorable, despicable, wretched and insane Holding on for one more chance, it's all I can do Do I have what it takes to give it all away Unaware Standing here I drift from hill to hill (Not knowing what I've found) I look behind In my mind At what's left on the ground Constantly deluding myself from the truth Living in a self-fabricated fantasy A falsehood to be inevitably revoked It only makes sense That I'm back where I began On the run, you're on the run, you're on the run from me Saying that you're done, but you keep on moving on And I can't just stop my heart it keeps on coming on I can't change what I feel, it's coming anyway Don't know what it is but it's here to stay Come and go They Intensify It's all I know Does it even matter Unaware Lying there Yet too aware of me (Not knowing what I've found) Said too much Feel too much And question if it's real So close but yet so far Tantalizing with every glance But this movement is incomplete It only makes sense That I'm back where I began
