September '92

When we met I never dreamed that I would ever hold you. You were fair and beautiful. You were so very pretty. I wrote down every word I'd say. It took time, but you accepted and I took you on the town. To the mall for my first earring, and then downtown to Taco Bell. You were so nice not to complain - I know now that you should have. I should have done so much better. When you turned to me & smiled I knew my days were numbered I would fall for you, I knew. I knew. Women say they've got this thing called intuition. What would you say if I said that in that institution, I saw you, & I knew? In September, '92. We weren't crazy, we were in the institution of our choice, Where we learned about each other & we never got it right. At the present it has been 6 years & 12 days since the day, I walked under that tree & I knew… When you'd turn to me & smile I'd gladly take you for my wife. This doesn't rhyme I know, but we, I knew we were to be. I knew. I knew. Women say they've got this thing called intuition. What would you say if I said that in that institution, I saw you, & I knew?
