Sin is Pride

We struggle and think better of our pride Until someday we go with the Saints as His Bride When the Spirit says come and the gates open wide We live for that day and until then all have cried All sin is what we have living this life full of pride It's a choice daily nearer from deep down inside It's a decision we know eventually we cannot hide God knows our sin and knows the actions of pride For this reason Jesus ruled when all sin had died Our Lord then arose for in Him we live to abide Jesus created us and we soon made up and lied And He took our penalty forever forgiveness by His side On God's stallions our help soon to arrive Angels dispatched coming as of the light tide Riding in as waves as deep as they are wide Purposed angelic soldiers ready to war and collide For this reason Jesus ruled when all sin had died Our Lord then arose for in Him we live to abide Jesus created us and we soon made up and lied And He took our penalty forever forgiveness by His side Until we see Him God's relationship He confides While we still struggle with our own foolish prides Before the Lord in prayer we become tongue tied But His Spirit Holy God translates near to our side All sin is what we have living this life full of pride It's a choice daily nearer from deep down inside It's a decision we know eventually we cannot hide God knows our sin and knows the actions of pride Why then, from our own souls down deep inside Do we keep trying to live life fueled by our own pride God uses it then the reflection of our own selfish side Daily we plead the Spirit home in us always to reside For this reason Jesus ruled when all sin had died Our Lord then arose for in Him we live to abide Jesus created us and we soon made up and lied And He took our penalty forever forgiveness by His side
