Well I only wrote in pencil Because I was scared that this might last And I only wanna be Forgotten with your past Listen closer now So listen to me closely Just close your eyes and rest But listen with discernment The author doesn't always know what's really best So now, hold on with me We'll make it through this nightmare With our eyes closed so tight No, I've never felt at home here But then again, it's never felt so right Yeah we'll be at home tonight We'll make this home tonight Well I only wrote in pencil Because I was scared to begin But now I'm a little older And I'm pickin' up my pen I wanna read this again I wanna feel this again
