It's clear why you like rainbows They expose every layer of light They are visible non-physical forms They sustain contrast They thread multiple frequencies in air They symbolize They amplify They empathize You are a rainbow too You are a rainbow too You are filled with refracted light You contain the multitudes You remain visible You are a rainbow too You are a rainbow too You are a rainbow too You are a rainbow too You rage and you play and you rage again You paint and explain and then you paint again If only we knew what to do with your light If only we knew what to do with fear If only we knew what to do when the darkness makes you disappear The feet The wings The socks, the seams The bridge, the methods The vengeance and visits The brine, the babies, the places you make The mazes of phrases, the stacks of suitcases The men that you hate, and the faces you paint on the structures and rectangles you square yourself with The cast iron casket that's full of complaints The anger you feel about being the holder, the pressure and burdens The fish on your shoulder, everyone wondering where have you been And asking you what kind of symbols you put on your belt Why do you melt Why do you boil Why are you covered in honey and oil Why is it viscous Why are you ancient Why are you bulbous and dirty and naked So rancid and plastic So handmade it's classic so Now you are frozen encased in some slime Dripping with purples and aquas inside You could thaw it all out Try to keep it at bay But, all of that stickiness is here to stay All of that stickiness is here to stay. You rage and you play and you rage again. You paint and explain and then you paint again If only we knew what to do with your light If only we knew what to do with fear If only we knew what to do when the darkness makes you disappear Instruments are easy to play First learn how to hold it Have someone teach you that Try to make a sound come out. That's a note Learn how to play every note available on the instrument String some different notes together. That's a melody Try to make sounds you like That's music Then sleep and try again When you're sleeping your dreams teach your body how to play it The hard part is doing it over and over. Sometimes your hands will hurt Sleep Make sounds Repeat That's how you learn everything Try. Sleep. Repeat. Repeat.
