Bold As Lions

I was a broken dude With a multitude Of sins accrued No righteousness I missed the mark Shooting in the dark I could not depart From wickedness I was bleeding out Demons all around And as they pull me down I beg forgiveness You heard my cry Pulled me out of the fire As I began to cry You said It is finished If you have no peace in your life And don't know what that's like It's a peace that comes In the storms of life Even when the forecast Says you'll die No fear no doubt no stress Make a message out of your mess Every test you face Is proof to show The world you're heaven sent Everywhere we go People want to know Who we are So we tell them We are Christians Bold as lions This we offer The love of the father Bound by chains Sin ingrained Addicted to all of my shame I was unable to Unlock the cage that was Keeping me trapped in my Sinister ways But when the devil Was crushing my spirit Knew that I needed Some help right away Called out to Jesus to help me He put on his boots And his heel crushed The head of the snake Mistakes become my grace Every fail becomes my change All of the hurt and the pain And the shame tells a story To glorify Jesus' name You see the stains Are washed away And all the spots Have been erased I once was lost But now I'm found My sickness healed In Jesus name Everywhere we go People want to know Who we are So we tell them We are Christians Bold as lions This we offer The love of the father Jesus died for everyone Yes even people like you He died for the sinner the saints The healthy the lame The rich and the poor To him it's the same He came to the earth as a king But he came to be born on a farm In dirt and the hay The kings of the east And the shepherds all bow To the one who the stars celebrate He wanted you to know No matter who you are You are loved more than You ever have known Your not too far gone To know the love of God You're forgiven and Welcomed back home And when You arrive At the gate in the sky He will wipe every tear That you cry from your eye He will stand with a smile With his arms open wide saying Well done my child Now abide in the light Everywhere we go People want to know Who we are So we tell them We are Christians Bold as lions This we offer The love of the father
