Church Arise

Lying in bed I just can't get these thoughts out my head The vision to see souls saved in U.S. Christians is dead We've been commissioned To spread the news of Christ is our mission But we cannot keep on going on the way that we're living The worlds on fire But somehow still the church isn't heated A revolution to continue world missions is needed To meet their needs physically True it profits a little But if they don't get the gospel were just condemning these people We're so ungrateful Blessed beyond belief by our God But all our blessings turn to Idols then we turn from our God Americans so wrapped up in chasing prosperity That the only thing impoverished is the spirit in me Church arise Open your eyes These are dark times But dont cry The holy spirit inside Gonna make you shine So very bright You can be a light Lead the lost to Christ I'm getting nauseous Thinking about the way that we live In comparison to two-third world nations were rich There's no denying it We're just spoiling ourselves with our money Living like we need more than our God has provided What He's provided has always been enough for our needs And He still blesses us with our hearts desires and things But here's the catch To whom much is given much is required And therefore we must never turn our backs on the tired But not just this It's never been enough to just give From the material possessions we temporarily have They need compassion The loving salvation of God The gift of His son to buy them what the world cannot Church arise Open your eyes These are dark times But dont cry The holy spirit inside Gonna make you shine So very bright You can be a light Lead the lost to Christ If we believe And Christians I mean really believe What we believe would we be living very differently If hell was real to you Would you be sitting there waiting For all your brothers and sisters to join the demons in hades If Jesus died for all Why do you still pick and choose Who "God would want" in his church groups and who "He could use" If Jesus Christ is Lord Why do you still disobey When He is telling you to give Him things that He wants to change If you agree with God's world that all lying is sin How come you're still singing songs that cancel what you believe in If you agree with God's word that all lying in sin How come your words at church don't match up with the way that you live Cuz Christ is coming back Will we be caught off guard When He comes back to see the slack that we've been putting on Or will we be commended For having paved the way For His return so He can rule over the world as the King Church arise Open your eyes These are dark times But dont cry The holy spirit inside Gonna make you shine So very bright You can be a light Lead the lost to Christ
