Yea This last song Is something I wrote when I was depressed And felt all alone It helped me I hope it helps you I cannot help but question, what's the meaning of life Somehow there's gotta be a purpose for these demons we fight They're the reason when you lie in bed, you can't go to sleep And when you wake up in the morning, you feel sick as can be So you lay there tearing up, don't wanna get out of bed You let the demons in your head so they can stomp you to death You're overtaken by this feeling you can't shake, you're depressed You got the world on your shoulders and feel the pain in your chest You lack enthusiasm, you're off and on with ambition You've got the best intentions, but they don't come to fruition Even simple things, sometimes they feel like a chore Don't even care about the things you used to love anymore All you wanna do is sleep and hope the pain fades away Even though you know tomorrow's no different from yesterday Or today, unless you make it, but easier said than done When you're trapped inside your head, isolated from everyone When you feel you're alone, no, we all got our hopes We all got our demons, whether you're rich or you're broke We all got our crutches, we need em, that's how we cope With the stress and anxiety, depression's no joke You're not in this alone, no, we all got our hopes We all got our demons, whether you're rich or you're broke We all got our crutches, we need em, that's how we cope With the stress and anxiety, depression's no joke When you look into the mirror, are you smiling back Or do you get so upset, you wanna punch through the glass Can't keep control of your emotions, your body goes through the motion Mood is crashing like the ocean, you're on the brink of explosion It's not easy to be happy when you don't feel alive When every single day is feeling like a fight to survive When all you wanna do is close your eyes and give up on life But you can't, you're scared to die, you're afraid of the other side So while you're here, you might as well do whatever that makes you happy Gotta fight and stand strong through all of the peaks and valleys It's not easy to stay positive, so often it's the opposite You try to be an optimist but lack the self confidence Staring out the window, looking up at the sky Tears pouring out your eyes, and you don't even know why It's uncontrollable, the way we think when we're on our own We all gotta stand together, can't get through this alone When you feel you're alone, no, we all got our hopes We all got our demons, whether you're rich or you're broke We all got our crutches, we need em, that's how we cope With the stress and anxiety, depression's no joke You're not in this alone, no, we all got our hopes We all got our demons, whether you're rich or you're broke We all got our crutches, we need em, that's how we cope With the stress and anxiety, depression's no joke To anyone out there listening Thank you for coming on this journey with me Until next time
