You Know, We've just been taught too much hate Let's change that Take your time and really give it thought How far's your love go, Where does it stop Ya family, those who show it to you What about those who you might misconstrue What about the man livin on the streets Or the woman who is crying in defeat How about the child everyone says is bad Did you know that he grew up without a dad 15 Years old makin it on his own Only going off exactly what he was shown Matter of fact it was just what he was taught And that was not to be wrought But rigid, tough, and hard Hold some pride in them scars Don't bother askin anybody for help All you can do is rely on yourself Where's your care You're Concern We must unlearn Where's your care You're Concern We must discern As for the man who was sleeping on the ground Last month his car was inbound to be impound Because his job had been a little slow So they let him go In his state of heavy dejection He found fleeting happiness with injections Led to him becoming a reject of society No longer having will for his sobriety Fast forward to about half a year The man is gone, he's disappeared While he was going through death throes Not a single person moved, not one arose Same holds true to his whole path No help, just people poised with wrath Another one succumb to this decay Because he wasn't shown a better way Where's your care You're Concern We must unlearn Where's your care You're Concern We all yearn For the same thing everybody else does Success, purpose, safety, and love How we go about can be in different ways And for some that makes them quite estranged Now, Let's go back to that little miss The one who was about to dehisce Lot of struggles on her mind to contend Like who really were her friends? Every time she would bring up a situation In hopes for some help, or elevation No one would listen, no one would hear So she put back up her veneer Everybody thought that she had it so so great Money, family, pets, a grandiose estate They didn't see her back when she'd talk back Or the 80 mgs daily of that Prozac Where's your care You're Concern We must unlearn Where's your care You're Concern We must discern Where's your care You're Concern We all yearn Where's your care You're Concern Do these not make you churn
