Rainstorm

I got reprimanded by my supervisor Pulled my bag out of my locker Burned another bridge Took the bike out onto the freeway It was childish It was petulant Into the rainstorm without a helmet It was reckless But it would have served no purpose There was nothing to protect You hope that if you water it Something might grow there I could have told you that I'm a bad employee Instead you asked me where I see myself in five years Well, I don't know I don't like looking in the mirror I don't expect to like it more as I get older But if you really want to know I'll tell you where to find me Working somewhere like this somewhere else for awhile
