Spread Thin

Woke up this morning sun shining bright Toasted my bread it's a perfect sight Reached for the jar but it's all gone Empty shelves where did I go wrong? I thought I had enough But now I'm feeling stuck No creamy spread in sight Just an empty jar tonight I got toast with no peanut butter Morning blues can't help but wonder How did I let it slip away? Now my breakfast plans decay Kitchen counters bare it's a lonely place Tried to make do but it's just not the same Crumbs on my plate and a sigh on my lips Wishing for that peanut butter fix I thought I had enough But now I'm feeling stuck No creamy spread in sight Just an empty jar tonight I got toast with no peanut butter Morning blues can't help but wonder How did I let it slip away?
